Five Nights at Treasure Island: Found – Anniversary Update Released

On this day around this time seven years ago, Abandoned: Discovery Island was released. Seven whole years. Even though I was 12 at the time (19 now), it makes me feel pretty old. I had a slightly bigger update planned for today, but it still needs a bit more testing before it gets released. However, as you can tell by the title, I still wanted to get something out for this game's anniversary, and I figured I'd do something a bit special.

For those that are familiar with A:DI's development, the game's current name was actually introduced during the last few weeks of development... hell, people thought it was an April Fools' joke thanks to the timing of the announcement, and in all honesty, it should've been. But at that point, I had a lot on my plate, both school-wise and out of school, and I wasn't satisfied with the pace of development. Even before 1.0 you could tell that the game was being heavily rushed, but the days after 0.7.2 were perhaps the worst case. Hastily written story, the hastily programmed final boss, an almost last-second name change...

But at the same time, I still had a lot of fun making the game, and I met a lot of awesome members of the community in the process, and while the game's release may have brought a lot of backlash back in the day, many others were happy with the game as it was released.

This special build temporarily renames the game back to its original name from earlier in development, "Five Nights at Treasure Island: Found", and changes many of the renders to their pre-rename counterparts. It's based on 1.2.3, so changes planned for 1.3.0 won't show up in this build.

Anyway, that's all. Just finished writing this devlog, should be up in a minute. Once again, thank you guys for all of the support!

EDIT: The build was just a bit late. Sorry 'bout that!

Been working lately on lots of 'behind-the-scenes' boring stuff that no one really cares about, so here’s a guy playing the sax for some reason.

Hi everyone! I started to create some environment props for my new video game, here is a cozy house in the forest. I'm planning to switch from Unity to Unreal... Let's see what new challenges I have to face. Made in Blender and Substance Painter.

Spaaaace~

These are background sprites I've created for a game I'm working on at school ^w^ Click on the post to see how the sprites connect. You won't regret it! (personally, I think it's pretty heheh)

Today I tackled drawing different variations of facial expressions for one of the main characters in Eden. What do you think of it? :) Eden: https://gamejolt.com/games/Eden/592698

Out of boredom and curiosity, I coded Sailor Jupiter's Argentine Backbreaker.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!

Hello my space friends! Now I added a space background to the ship. I love that space look but I still feel like stuff is missing. The lighting on the ship needs some improvements I think. Please tell me your opinion!
