Well, I fixed the main bug in the Snake game with the help of a friend. For those who might be interested, what it came down to is that C#/Windows was automatically queuing keystrokes without my knowledge or understanding. I had set up the game loop logic erroneously, where it didn’t draw a new frame if a keystroke was “available.” Therefore, if you pressed more than one key in quick succession, it didn’t draw new frames until it went through the queue of keystrokes you had pressed, BUT it would keep updating which direction your character was supposed to be pointing. This would, more often than not, lead to your snake eating itself and committing suicide. I completely fixed this by changing around the looping statement just slightly. There are a few small bugs, I’m considering a name change, but the game is in much better shape. Plus, for the first time, I’ve added music to a game! And the only appropriate kind: PC speaker bleep-bloop style.
