The Mid Melodies were made by the same robotics company that made the endos for Freddy and his friends, but they're usually made of cheaper materials and less complex electronics, typically as a cheaper alternative for Freddy's franchisees who want animatronics but can't afford the premium stuff. The company also sells them under a different brand name to skirt around antitrust laws.
Anyway, Mr. Hippo and Orville Elephant are really good friends. They even dress alike! (Seriously, what's up with that?) They enjoy feeding ducks, eating rye bread, drinking lemonade, and going on meandering, interminable tangents about feeding ducks, eating rye bread, and drinking lemonade.
(I had to redraw this several times because I'm not used to drawing elephants. Or hippos for that matter.)
