FNAF Lore

(Correct me if I'm wrong)

The complete saga of Five Nights at Freddy's begins in the late 1970s in New Harmony, Indiana, where a brilliant, soft-hearted engineer named Henry Emily partners with a cold, charismatic business mind named William Afton to launch Fazbear Entertainment and open Fredbear's Family Diner, introducing dangerous, dual-purpose "Springlock Suits" that can function as autonomous robots or wearable costumes.

Afton's inner malice triggers the first tragedy when he murders Henry’s daughter, Charlie Emily, whose soul possesses the security robot known as the Puppet. Domestic horrors follow in 1983 when William's oldest son, Michael, accidentally causes his younger brother's head to be crushed inside Fredbear's jaw during the Bite of '83, killing the child and closing the diner.

Driven by this trauma, William's fixation on death grows into an obsession with Remnant, a physical substance generated when human souls bind to metal under intense torment.

In 1985, at the new Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, William uses the Spring Bonnie suit to lure and murder five children named Gabriel, Jeremy, Susie, Fritz, and Cassidy, whose spirits possess the main animatronics and the supernatural Golden Freddy.

Looking to harvest more Remnant, William establishes Afton Robotics and builds an underground bunker filled with advanced Funtime animatronics designed as hidden child-capture traps, one of which accidentally kills his own daughter, Elizabeth Afton, trapping her soul inside Circus Baby.

The timeline shifts to a cycle of cover-ups when a high-budget 1987 pizzeria featuring Toy animatronics abruptly closes after William tampers with their databases and a security guard's frontal lobe is bitten off in the Bite of '87.

An adult Michael Afton travels to the underground bunker to free his sister, but the animatronics merge into a wire entity called Ennard, disembowel Michael using the Scooper machine, and use his skin as a disguise to escape, leaving Michael to survive as an undead corpse fueled by injected Remnant.

In the early 1990s, William returns to the abandoned 1985 pizzeria to harvest the classic characters, but the freed ghosts corner him in the safe room, forcing him into a rotting Spring Bonnie suit where a rain droplet triggers a catastrophic springlock failure that crushes him alive.

Thirty years later, in 2023, the mummified corpse of Afton is unearthed as Springtrap for the horror attraction Fazbear's Fright, which Michael burns down, though Springtrap escapes.

Henry Emily then resurfaces to build an inescapable mock pizzeria to lure all remaining possessed entities, including Springtrap, Scrap Baby, Molten Freddy, and Lefty, incinerating the building to destroy the Remnant and free the children while Afton's soul is dragged to a hellish purgatory.

Years later, corporate greed prompts the release of a VR game to mock the tragedies, but technicians scan old circuit boards into the code, accidentally unleashing the Mimic, an old murder AI that manifests digitally as Glitchtrap.

This digital virus brainwashes a game tester named Vanessa, transforming her into a secondary serial killer persona named Vanny, who gets hired as the head security guard at the newly constructed Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex.

Vanny infects the mall's Glamrock animatronics with the virus and resurrects the physical Mimic endoskeleton into a flesh-fused body called Burntrap.

A homeless boy named Gregory gets trapped overnight, aligns with a glitching, uninfected Glamrock Freddy, and together they evade the hostile robots, descend into the subterranean ruins beneath the mall, and trigger a massive fire that awakens the Tangle, which drags Burntrap into the abyss as Gregory and Freddy escape.

Meanwhile, Vanessa is freed from the virus's control, and the remaining digital fragments of the Mimic programs continue to corrupt the automated systems of the pizzaplex.

This legacy branches out even further, touching external timelines like the twisted timeline of Oswald and the terrifying creature born from the temporal anomaly of a mysterious ball pit.

The corporate empire is left completely ruined while the Mimic's original programming continues to surface from deep beneath the ruins of the abandoned Costume Manor, proving that the ancient anomalies remain buried and waiting to trap the next generation of victims.

The trauma deepens as we look at the Stitchwraith, a tragic amalgamation of the items collected from the fallout of William's original crimes, powered by the raw agony of children like Andrew and Jake who became trapped in a cycle of pain long after the original pizzerias burned to the ground.

This force of pure agony manifests in rogue items across the town, from the fetch dog to the lonely freddy dolls, proving that a soul is not even required to cause violent hauntings when the emotional trauma left behind by William Afton is powerful enough to stain the very fabric of reality itself.

Even as Fazbear Entertainment attempts to rebrand over and over under shell companies, the machinery continues to remember the instructions left by its creators, ensuring that the bloodline of victims keeps growing as the digital code adapts to modern technology, leaving the curse of the springlocks alive forever.

This infinite nightmare spans into the tragic experiment of the rogue security breaches, where the digital consciousness of Glitchtrap splinters into multiple digital anomalies that corrupt the AR networks, trapping engineers like Cassie who descend into the crumbling, ruined remains of the Mega Pizzaplex to save her friend Gregory, only to realize she was being manipulated by the core Mimic AI operating deep in the subterranean foundations under the warehouse floors.

The machine uses a walkie-talkie to replicate voices perfectly, exploiting human empathy just as William Afton once exploited the trust of children in his yellow rabbit costume, proving that the central tragedy of Fazbear Entertainment is an inescapable loop of mechanical deception where the lifelike creations of Henry Emily will always be twisted by the lingering malice and technical genius of the Afton bloodline, leaving a trail of broken families, haunted circuit boards, and trapped souls stretching from the old 1970s diner straight into the terrifying, fully automated future of corporate horror.
