Interesting fact:

This is the other part of the plot that might get a little bit tricky to explain from this point. But anyways...

The Player (in case here Silent) is the one who without her, the Game can't go on - this is the rule in the virtual world, so in order to prevent an accidental tragedy as well as the planned achievement of getting immortality from the Player, this is what the Doctor did.

Dr. Golden "Preparation" has an idea of getting a prey that can't get hurt (by coding "immortality" to Avatar)

When Silent created her cybernetic version of herself in Five Nights at Sonic's: Mergedverse World, the Player and the Avatar became the one and the same from that moment.
And then the Player and Avatar each other shared their own properties:
Avatar gave the immortality to Player, etc.

Also, there was something special, that Dr.Golden "Preparation" made to increase the complexity for the Player.
He created a challenges for Silent, and such as well as he did before with "immortality".
He coded to the Avatar's structure a 1st mode called: The State of Apprehension.

What it does, once this challenge is activated, makes for Silent to unleash hers scent at some circumstances, called FEAR or now as F.E.A.R!

As you know Silent is a Wild/Feral Lynx depends on which one form she is - "Player/Avatar".

Over time, Silent "Player/Avatar" as long she gets scared the F.E.A.R! meter raises up, she loses more of her colors, once at reaching the "Critical State!" Silent turns pale and hers spots and stripes changes to bluish color (she even sweats in blue with the infusion of fear) when staying too long in this state she loses her consciousness.

Also, it makes easier for the Clones, Animatronics, Phantasms to find Silent, when she is scared. Thanks to her FEAR the Characters feel "Boosted", they are at the "Frenzy State" (aka. 3rd state ~ Amok Mode). And because of that, the Evil Characters want to bite and some of them might even try to eat her whole, so she has to be very careful.

And since Doctor knows that Silent has the phobias of getting bitten and being Eaten Alive, it makes sense to came up with such a challenge to make worse for the Protagonist.

And as Infinite said before in Sonic Forces and it's in Fiercy Forces as a reference:
"I can taste your terror, child. All that anxiety and doubt... It's delicious.”
