FNaW Timeshift Version 2.0 Devlog #2


So, its been two weeks since the last devlog and let me tell ya, I've been busy. So, lets get straight into the information about the games progress ey?


Character AI

Starting off strong with the Character AI. EVERYONE, and I mean EVERYONE is now coded in, including Mario, Luigi and the Generator because that is an AI. So now I'll be doing beta testing on the character AI's during the night and work on the cutscenes inbetween nights.

Soundtrack

Most of the 1988 mode soundtrack is set in stone, I may get someone whose good at making custom music instead of slowed down / sped up or any other type of music to join the team and make a better Extras and Title Screen Music, but thats not confirmed.

Extras and Custom Night

These haven't been worked on yet. I'm planning on working on the both of them soon, but for now, they haven't been worked on.

2018 Mode:

Remember in the first Devlog where there was a bunch of random letters towards the end? Well that was actually a hint to 2018 Mode / Virus Mode! Because yes, the VIRUS is going to be in Time Shift 2.0 with a completely unique look, cause I'll be honest, the origins FSaW virus designs aren't the best. Not saying their bad or anything, but they aren't exactly fun. So, Time Shift will be taking a unique spin on the VIRUS, basing it off of a certain topic - phobias.

So far I have 3 designs / character basis set up; Wario / Anthophobia, Waluigi / Phonophobia and Mario / Pyrophobia. The Mechanics will be based around their designs / Phobias, as I am yet to actually start making the AI for Virus Mode.


I don't have much else to say this devlog besides thanks for supporting the game, This game has gotten a surprising amount of traction for being a one man game with some... OK graphics. It's been pretty nice to share a fun game with people. That's all for this devlog though, so for now. Chao!

(Also no, this is not hinting at a 3.0 version. This is just really weird to me.)

I am genuinely having SO MUCH FUN with this and I don't know why! I've literally fully programmed in the movement mechanics as well as my favorite lil' animation in this so far!

oops forgot to post stuff, don't worry still here, just working on college stuff and some writing stuff instead of art stuff.

i'll be posting more often once june passes lol

I've been fairly busy :)

IRL and in coding! 3 of the 6 planned AI for Virus Mode are fully coded in with Virus Bowser (Kinda obvious lets be honest here.) being partially done!

What are yall's opinion on how the game looks so far?

Made another Endo today! This one I prefer the design of a lot more to the original! May make some suits to go alongside this guy... I dunno. We'll have to see!
