Former Memphis head coach Ryan Silverfield has been hired by Arkansas to be their next head coach. He will not be coaching Memphis in their bowl game. More below.

2006-2007: Graduate Assistant for Central Florida.

2008: Offensive Quality Control Coach for Minnesota Vikings (NFL).

2009-2010: Defensive Lineman Staff Assistant for Minnesota Vikings (NFL).

2011-2013: Assistant Offensive Linemen Coach for Minnesota Vikings (NFL).

2014: Offensive Consultant for Toledo.

2015: Offensive Analyst for Arizona State.

2015: Assistant Offensive Lineman Coach for Detroit Lions (NFL).

2016: Offensive Lineman Coach for Memphis.

2017-2018: Run Game Coordinator/Offensive Lineman Coach for Memphis.

2019: Assistant Head Coach/Run Game Coordinator/Offensive Lineman Coach for Memphis.

2020-2025: Head Coach for Memphis. Had an overall record of 50-25 at Memphis, with 6 bowl game appearances and 4 bowl game wins (2021 Hawaii Bowl was canceled). Led Memphis to a definite bowl game this year as well, but will not coach in it.

2026: Will be the head coach for Arkansas.
