Hello everyone! As we mentioned on our Itch page, we have moved over to GameJolt. We made two previous Development Posts over on Itch which are still up, so if you want to read those, you can.
This is the first new Development Post on GameJolt so it is called Development Post 1, however, since March 17th, 2024, which was the date of the last post, we have made significant progress. We have been working on main gameplay mechanics for the player and doing a LOT of work on the prologue section of the game. This, of course, serves as the introduction where you're going to get familiar with how the game plays and the overall tone and style of the game. We have also been doing a lot of work on the story and fleshing out the backgrounds of characters that will appear/be mentioned in the game. A lot of assets have been made as well.
The prologue takes place in the player's apartment, though we don't want to reveal too much in regards to the story or who the player is just yet. However, we do have some new screenshots showcasing what the player's apartment looks like that we would like to share with you.
These images feature some of the living room and some of the player's bedroom in the apartment. Feels cozy, doesn't it?
These are the first screenshots we are sharing of Fraction Labs! Keep in mind this game is still in very early development and everything you see in the screenshots are subject to change.
With all of that being said, we cannot wait until we can show more about the game, and its world. And we're even more excited for you to play it. It may be a while, but trust us, you WILL be able to play it.
Thank you all very much for reading today's Development Post, we hope to show a lot more in the coming months.
See you in the next one!
