Free Movement Update!

A pretty big update is now online! After gathering feedback and wandering around inside my thoughts for a bit I decided that the game needed some changes and tweaks to its core mechanics, along with some other stuff. So without further ado, here’s the list of changes:

  • You now have full control over the player. You can move in all directions with the cursor keys and dash into enemies by double-tapping left or right (or, alternatively, by pressing A/D once)

  • General movement is now faster than before

  • Defeated enemies release energy orbs that fill your charge meter

  • If you manage to fill the charge meter you’ll enter overdrive mode. Tackling enemies in this state makes them bounce off the walls, allowing you to create huge combos

  • The charge meter ticks down though (faster when you’re in overdrive mode) so you need to stay on the offensive

I feel the game is a lot more intuitive and engaging now. Give it a spin and let me know your thoughts!

I have added rewards for quests so that villagers can give you something in return for your hard work helping them. 🥳

I want to know - what's your favourite quest reward?

I mostly build 3D First Person Shooter game mechanics in Unity, and in this I'm just showing C4 mechanics I made for a little side project I am working on! :)

We're knee deep in multiple large features and "game feel". Quick peek behind the scenes in this weeks Dev Blog: https://bit.ly/2QmmaQM
