We've been tinkering in the background, and we're excited to roll out some handy updates to our 2D Laser Shooter Game Kit. These tweaks are all about making your game crafting experience smoother and more intuitive.
Custom Sprites Just Got Easier
First off, we’ve made it simpler for you to bring your own style into the game with custom sprites for enemies. The process is now more straightforward, thanks to our UI tweaks. Plus, a new scale slider lets you resize your sprites on the fly—no need to leave the game or dive into code.
Sounds Like Progress
Adding sound effects is a breeze now. We've streamlined the way you can integrate shooting sounds, making your gameplay even more immersive with just a few clicks.
New Sprite Editor on the Horizon
For those who love to create, we're polishing up a new feature: a sprite editor/creator. It’s nothing fancy, but it’ll give you the power to craft simple pixel-based characters and objects without needing any external tools. Keep an eye out for its debut in our Developer UI soon.
Updates at Your Fingertips
As always, we want to keep things hassle-free. You'll find the latest script updates available for download on itch and gumroad. If you’ve already personalized your game scripts, no worries—you can snag just the code snippets to blend them into your existing setup.

The Kitmaster Commitment
We're here to support your game development adventure, whether you're crafting a personal project or teaching the next generation of devs. The Laser Shooter Game Kit remains a royalty-free, open-source toolkit powered by pygame—so you can focus on making your game without worrying about the fine print.
That's all for now! We’ll be back with more tweaks and tools to help you make the games you love.
Keep creating, The Kitmaster Team
