Welcome to our first actual development update for this mod! We hope you stick around to see more development on this project. For now though, we have a few big things to announce!
Brand New (sexier) logo!
This brand new logo was developed by my good friend TogeReturna for the mod to replace the, frankly kinda ugly old Beatstown logo! I added a few little effects to it and this'll be the new logo for the mod! I changed all of the menu graphics and promotional art to include it!
2, Friendship has Ended with Kade Engine, Psych Engine is now my best friend.
I tried to program the mod for the new Kade Engine Ver 1.7, but there was multiple issues not only with rendering but also with its fucking garbage song charter, overuse of computer memory (even though I have a TON of that), and just in general not being as user friendly as I've liked. For that reason I've switched the development over to Psych Engine made by Shadow Mario and RiverOaken. It is more user friendly, has a bunch of nice features, and is more kind to my memory. Welcome to Psych Engine, Beatstown Brawl!
3. New Platforms!
Yes, the mod that is already being released on 3 different platforms is also releasing on 2 MORE. These being Google Drive and Mega nz. I already brought up the possibility of a google drive port, but I only realized now just how much usefulness ports to these places would be. Even if all 3 of these main, open sites get hacked, the mod can still live on through these 2 extra ports.
This brings the total amount of platforms for this mod to 5. Jesus fucking christ.
4. Wait this mod got a budget now?
So, to increase the quality of the art in the mod and to get the music done at a reasonable pace, I decided to commission multiple artists and musicians for help on this mod! Crusty's sprite will be done by the EXTREMELY talented NeatoNG, creator of the upcoming Vs Jet mod, and the music will be done by dipstick and Xyle GD (not Xylo Music shut up-)!
