Hi, it's been a while

I don't have anything to say to introduce this post so let me just instead thanks y'all for the 200 followers on the game! It sure isn't on the level of the bigger game in the community but Frozen Heart is nowhere near this level yet so it's already a lot

With that said, let me tell you all about the game

The main game

Frozen Heart has two fights, the main one against Noelle and the bonus one against you-can-guess-who being separated by an overworld section taking place at the top of Queen's mansion, granted you've meet the conditions for it

Not much to say about it, there may be for stuff that are a bit overlook right now but both fights are done and playtested so nothing new to say about them

However, I have something to say about the game itself, and it is that it has a new logo now! Made by @souptaels (thanks)

It definitely looks cooler than mine

I've had this one for a while but I wanted to wait for Underevent 2022 to reveal it if Frozen Heart was accepted. Spoiler alert: it won't appear in Underevent so here it is now.

I will update the gamejolt page at some point to have the new logo replace the old one. And knowing me, that could mean tomorrow as much as it could mean 2 minutes before the game releases in the future

The alternative fight

What's this?? An alternative scenario for Frozen Heart?

I won't say much about it but it's the fight currently being under development and it's been that way for a while due to college, other projects like working on Dark Place (check it out it's pretty cool) and just procrastination because who doesn't love looking at his screen for hours doing nothing?

However, while that sounds pretty bad, the fight went under huge progress in the past 2 months, launching it from at least 25% done to 75% (approximatively)!

I think it should be a pretty great and big fight. I'll see that once playtesting will start (hopefully it'll go fine...)

Extras

Some months ago, I asked about adding extras in Frozen Heart, and the winning answer was "yes"

But since, I thought back at it and I don't think it's a good idea anymore simply because the development of this mod has started somewhere before October 2021, the public announcement date. Which will be 2 years ago in 3 months. I know I'm a one-man-team so it's normal that it takes more time and while I've got the excuse of rebooting the mod in Kristal, that was also 1 year ago. All of that feels like it's too much for what Frozen Heart have to offer.

I still want to add 2 specific extras to the mod, 1 if I'm really desperate to release the mod. So yeah that's that.

But it won't really change anything to the mod itself. If anything, it just let me know that I've got more time to make the alt. fight without thinking that I have 10 extras to make afterward

Release date??

I think I've made it clear that I was looking for the day I will finish this mod. Not because I hate it or anything, I love it but it's taking very long and I have other mods I want to work on, like Smile or Dark Place. As such, my goal is to get the game out somewhere in September or October, basically before it's 2 years anniversary. I'd generally say to not count too much on it but this time, I'll make sure it happens

And with this said, I'll just go to sleep because it's 4am here god damnit not again, bye
