So, you may have seen the updates and thought. "Wow, things are going so smooth!"

Well I've hit some snags in the road. And kinda want to vent about it.

So yes, I am still using RPG Maker, but specifically now, RPG Maker MZ instead of MV. Or at least. I am for now.
Why do I say for now?

BECAUSE I CAN'T GET WHAT I WANT TO WORK WORKING.

God it's a nightmare to get some stuff working in RPG Maker let me tell you.

Some plugins don't work with others, and unless you can javascript, you're out of luck.

I can't get reflections to work. I can't get party member mechanics to work where you split up and switch between them.

Those would be fine, right? I've kinda accepted certain things don't work.

BUT WHEN YOU HAVE A SUPER COOL IDEA AND CAN'T IMPLEMENT IT BECAUSE A PLUGIN ISN'T COMPATIBLE WITH OTHER PLUGINS THAT'S WHEN IT GETS SUPER FRUSTRATING.

And why not switch to Game Maker studio? I've tried. Believe me I tried. My motivation just gets shot when ever I try. It just feels way to big at that point for me to tackle alone.

Plus there's things I wouldn't even know how to implement in Game Maker if I even if I tried at this point.
