Shigeru Miyamoto once said: “A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad.”
He couldn’t be more right. After 6 years, here we are folks. The game is finally out. After years of drama, controversy, and everything but the kitchen sink, the game is out. I and the team are proud of it.
Before playing, I’d like to say a few words that I hope you all will read. We did not set out to make this game the best fangame to ever exist, and it is far from it. What this game is though, is a fangame I and the team would want to play. With that, we did our absolute best.
In 2015, I had joined the fangame community because of 3 specific games: The Return to Freddy's 2, FNaTI, and Five Nights at Chuck E. Cheese. TRTF 2 was the first fangame I ever played, and it has influenced me in my development since. FNaCEC showed me that you could have fun and be creative with these kinds of games. FNaTI, out of all of them, however, brought me into development. I watched Markiplier play the original 1.0 demo of FNaTI, and I was amazed at what I saw. The game truly terrified me, and it brought what I saw in TRTF 2 and FNaCEC together. I would constantly check the original Wikia for updates and more. I would even dream about FNaTI, and one of those dreams is what this ended up being. This is what I always wanted. It all started out as a simple little dream.
I don’t expect everyone to be satisfied with the result, but that’s okay. This game is more for me and my peers in the end. If you like it, that’s great. We always appreciate the support. I sincerely hope this was worth the work in the end. All of us have poured our blood, sweat, school grades, tears, money, and more into this game. Finally, it has reached the point of completion.
I guess you could all say this is the end of the line too. I wouldn't expect more FNaF fangame projects to come out under the Radiance name. To be completely honest, my interest in FNaF has died and I feel really uncomfortable and alienated in the community... It's just not really for me anymore. I’m getting a little too old for this. I can't guarantee anything, but this is the plan I'm sticking to for now. I might still be helping out with things here and there but nothing as big as this. I hope you all enjoy the result, and I hope you all are here for us in the future. It has been a pleasure. I’ve met so many great people in this community, especially those on my team. They are the hardest working, funniest, nicest, most interesting people I have ever met. I have no idea where I would be without them, and this game would not be done if it wasn’t for them.
To be honest, during the beginning I never thought this would get finished. Even the fans didn't. For the longest time referring to this game as "cursed" was the go-to. I am not only happy but absolutely shocked we finished this. I think you are all shocked as well. A game that has been in development for 6 years, longer than any other fangame, is finally complete. It probably would've been finished earlier if we didn't have so many development setbacks and delays. Hopefully, it was worth the wait, and I cannot give enough gratitude for the patience this community has given us.
To my friends, allies, and enemies. From Scribby, to Peyton, to Techowl, to Susslord, to Mecasora, to Prime, to Desko, to Swirlhead, to Enlain, to Anne, to Lilly, to Chiro, to IcePhoenix, to Toonster, to P_N_M, and many more whom I have not listed, you and the rest of this community have helped me grow and evolve. I could not be more thankful. Without you, I would literally be no one.
One more thing, I would especially like to thank Anart1996 for being there for me and the team. I was truly lost on what I was doing with this game until I talked to him. He has supported our vision and without him, FNaTI would never have existed. I hope to work with you again in the future. Thank you so much for everything.
Enjoy, thank you all once again, and goodbye for now.
(Psst... GameJolt API and controller support updates coming soon)
