the situation

okay so this update was going to have a guy in it i won't name as a somewhat prominent character to the lore and sylvie found out that this were to happen yesterday

and he did not like that

after some conversation basically we made an agreement that either for the parts with the guy in it , i'd take the guy out and replace him with another character

OR i add the guy but take sylvie out and I'm Not Doing That

IF the update releases the main planned appearances slash mentions of him won't happen to respect sylvie's wishes as i didn't know whatever had happened with the guy still affected sylvie because he seems to have recover from all that and be doing well

i kept seeing how sylvie is loved with his community in his server and on his socials and in dod server and the fact that he basically replaced the guy with someone better , all this combined led to me believing that he had fully " recovered " while in reality i was just not aware of how anything was back then as i wasn't there when the previous server collapsed

i can't judge how life was for sylvie back then and how it is now yknow ? his life might be good to MY standards but i'm not him yk ? everyone processes their situations differently and i don't have the full story

is jelly's cancelled ?

honestly i have no clue

right now the game is on hiatus because of all that especially due to how being around sylvie has made my mental health worse recently because i often compared my life to him and feel that i have nothing to show for my time spent online like he does as i described further a few post back

and also i've been losing motivation in actually working on the game in general , like it should have released sooner . i like the CONCEPT of this update , i fw the IDEA of it i just can't bring myself to actually working on it

especially now that i have to go and redo more things

hopefully the game won't be fully abandoned , but especially as it stands right now development will be a lot slower . this should NOT be taking me so long as it is which makes me think it isnt just the amount of content in the game

i'm also gonna try and distance myself from the sylvieanimates community , atleast for now . sylvie's content and jelly's was my main interest and fandom for a good amount of time but , at this point i'm gonna try to find more interests and things outside of jelly's , and ESPECIALLY try to focus on school and my social life once the year starts again because i somewhat neglected my irl social life while making this game

i will probably still be talking with sylvie and the gang after some time passes but not as much as before

it became my main focus recently because i felt like i had to get this done asap because it was " overdue " and THEN i'd leave it behind but i can always step back from it if needed so i think i'm gonna do that for now <3

thank you to the people in the sylvie server and on here who liked this game and supported it over the past 6 months but this is gonna be goodbye for now
