Game plan


Even though the game is still in it’s early development and that sometimes I add stuff as I go, I do have some plans for this game. So here are some spread sheets in which I explain to myself what are the intended player behaviors, what each new acquired skills does and at what moment that happens. Might be boring for some, but if you’re interested in my game (or just to see what my plans were when I began making it) check them out!

SKILL DESCRIPTION

Shoot Player can shoot bullets in a short range and slow pace. Limited amount of bullets per level.

Shield Player can block bullets coming from enemies.

Dash Player can dash to avoid bullets coming from enemies.

Stump Player can jump and stump on enemy to defeat him

Paralyze Player can shoot a special bullet that will paralyze the enemy for a short amount of time.

Grab Player can grab enemy. This will damage and paralyze him a bit.

Shoot 2 Player can shoot faster bullets in a longer range. Increased amount of bullets per level.

Shield 2 Player can block and reflect bullets from enemy in a short range.

Dash 2 Player can double dash in two different directions.

Paralyze 2 Player can shoot a special bullet that will paralyze the enemy for a certain amount of time.

Grab 2 Player can grab enemy. This will damage and paralyze him.

Shoot 3 Player can shoot two bullets in a long range, quickly. Increased amount of bullets.

Shield 3 Player can block and reflect bullets from enemy.

Dash 3 Player can dash in two different directions. Can also dash on enemy to inflict damage.

Paralyze 3 Player can shoot a special bullet that will paralyze the enemy for a considerable amount of time. Level Enemy skill Acquired skills Intended player behavior.

LEVEL / ENEMY SKILL/ ACQUIRED SKILL / INTENDED PLAYER BEHAVIOR

0**Shoot**N/A Player must avoid bullets and manipulate enemy behavior to ensure he shoots 3 bullets that will bounce on himself.

1**Shield**Shoot Player must shoot the enemy. He must make sure enemy is not in his “shield stance”, while making sure not to kill himself by mistake.

2**Dash**Shield Player must use shield when enemy dashes against him or shoots at him. He must also avoid killing himself.

3**Stump**Dash Player must dash to avoid the enemy’s stump attack, which will kill him in one hit.

4**Paralyze**Stump Player must stump the enemy before he paralyzes him.

5**Grab**Paralyze Player must paralyze enemy and stump him before he grabs him and stumps him.

That’s what I have for now. I hope I get to this point (level 5) in which I’ll have all features programmed and from then on (up to lvl 15) I’ll only have to make each skill more powerful (this will be made with a skill upgrade system).
