Hello!
For the past month, I have not posted any teasers at all regarding the Chapter 5 of "Henry's Son".
In this huge post I want to explain all this and announce some important things. So let's start...
Thank you for your massive support:
After the release of Chapter 4, Henry's Son has gotten a lot of attention and a lot of new fans!
Overall, chapter 4 was very well received and you liked it a lot! It was a massive success that I want to thank you for!
The final trailer for chapter 4 has gotten over 1000 views on youtube!
Thank you!
Henry's Son Update:
Let's start with the Henry's Son update. After the release of Chapter 4, I said that I would release a major patch update with some new features. What I didn't tell you is that this update was going to add better voice acting. I wrote to a few voice actors but I didn't even get to start work with any of them. The update will still be released and I will tell you more about that later. I'm sorry for this huge delay but I really want to improve the quality of voice acting.
There are several other reasons why the update was delayed. I will tell you about them in a moment.
Henry's Son Chapter 5:
I don't know how to start here. I have some good news but also some bad news.
I'll start with the bad news.
I haven't given any teasers or posts about the game's development for about a month now.
There are several reasons for this.
Let me start from the beginning.
After long work on chapter 4 I was feeling tired. I spent 7 months on this chapter. I needed a rest so I took a break.
I honestly felt burned out so I didn't want to force myself to work on the game.
After two weeks I started working on the update I mentioned earlier. The problems with finding a voice actor really demotivated me, but also the fact that I couldn't add a save system.
It was already the beginning of May and here came another problem.
I had exams waiting for me. I had to spend much more time to study which meant I had no time even for myself, not to mention working on the game. (Add to this the problems with the update I've already mentioned).
At the end of May I wrote those exams but it's not the end yet. The time for final grades was approaching. This was also a hard time for me.
I want to say that I haven't worked on chapter 5 for the last month...
I felt burnt out, demotivated (by the problems with the update) and I had to study a lot...
It was really a lot and I had to spend that time completely on studying.
I am now after the exams and the final grades are out. I'm going to work a lot on chapter 5 now, and I'm getting motivated and willing to work.
Now I will work more and more every day.
Here I want to move on to the good news.
I can tell you when Chapter 5 might be released.
It is the end of July!
You may think this is impossible. Let me tell you that it is possible.
Most of the game's files are already created, and the entire gameplay, plot, and storyline have been completely planned out.
Also, I gained a lot of experience while working on chapter 4 so I will work much faster.
Now I would like to give you an idea of my plans for June and July.
The next 3 Fridays in a row will have cool events. They are as follows
June 17: [Henry's Son Update release]
June 24: [My first Q&A about Henry's Son]
July 1: [Henry's Son Chapter 5 gameplay trailer release]
If I don't encounter any new problems then everything will happen according to this plan!
I'll also add that new teasers for chapter 5 will be released during these months.
I hope this may have made you feel better. First new teasers next week :)
Few other things:
I've been working on more than just Henry's Son lately.
I'm working on three other projects. I would like to emphasize right away that Henry's Son is a priority for me.
Two of these three projects will be released this summer.
I will tell you more about them next time because this post is mainly about Henry's Son.
It's going to be an interesting summer :D
Thank you once again for your patience, support and help!
Without you, Henry's Son would never be what it is today.
See you next time :)
