i assume many of you has seen the new gamejolt *update* they essentially added a pay to win option

Gamejolt boosts now you may ask why did gamejolt do this? its very simple MONEY! if you look at how much it fucking costs to buy this

Its so expensive so 4000 joltbux cost 20 Dollars if you wanna *boost* your account page then it costs 12 000 Joltbux and if you add it up it costs 60 Dollars just for that

now even if that isnt expensive to anyone

There is the other big problem With this being Pay to win basically anyone or any company can just pay to have their shitty stuff promoted, its no longer fair for any small creator who isnt a millionaire and doesnt have the money to pay for this they wont get as many followers meaning it will discourage them from posting meaning less people overall of course its not an immediate thing but its gradual it happens slowly

now i think everyone has heard the term *Enshittification* its a term used for when an online product starts as good but as it gets more popular the company who is responsible for it adds stuff that annoys the user base makes the experience worse and worse for profit examples include Youtube with their horrible nsfw ads and shitty experience many companies do this and it looks like Gamejolt is doing the same thing

i have kept asking myself one thing that is why doesnt gamejolt actually do anything? i remember years ago they were making big changes allowing longer videos, firesides, creator programs and more now? when you get the update page pop up saying they implemented something new its usually just paid stickers or some other shit who no casual user would care about

That is what Enshittification is degrading a product for the sake of profits

and gamejolt has been going that way for quite some time now slowly and gradually making bad decisions its only a matter of time until they do something bad again
