From what I've seen, most people don’t like the boost pack, right? This means not many people (or maybe no even one) will buy or use it, so the "pay-to-win" effect might not even be noticeable.
GameJolt started accepting advertisers a long time ago, and some games or posts were already being boosted all the time, even before the boost pack existed.
Would this really have the effect that people are expecting? I think it’s too early to say. Let’s wait a few months to see. I’ll be monitoring the growth of other creators too, I think it’s too early to judge right now.
Also just to give you some perspective, Youtube has made a lot of changes over time, right? Some Youtubers reacted to certain changes as if it were the end of the world, but in the end those changes weren’t as bad as they thought.
To all the creators: If you're making good creations, you will get noticed regardless of the boost pack effect (which I still believe not going to sell well )
As for people claiming shadow banning or deleted posts, I have no comment on that because I haven't seen the before-and-after effects of shadow banning.
