GENOCIDE NEWS // Development Plan: Prototyping-Chapter 1


I'm gonna lay down the "plan" so I can release teasers/leaks part by part depending on what stage of the plan I'm currently at.

1 - MUSIC: The stage I'm currently in at the time of writing this. I'm experimenting with how the music should sound like in the game and know what kind of music to make.

2 - MAKING THE INTRO/OPENING: This is basically the first scene in the game, it's going to be fairly simple as it's just a single image and a couple of voice lines.

3 - POINT AND CLICK MOVEMENT + LEVEL LAYOUT: This is where the prototyping will start, I hope that this doesn't take long because I want to delve more of my time into the assets/sprites of the game and making sure stuff LOOKS GOOD!

4 - ART: Yuuuup, this is definitely going to take the longest amount of time of the development. I'm going to be sitting at my desk for hours trying to make a single room look good

5 - GAMEPLAY: This is the one I'm most excited for, I can't wait to try all sorts of gameplay ideas!

6 - STORY/CUTSCENES: Chapter 1 isn't going to include a lot of story, as it's primarily trying to have only gameplay and set the atmosphere for the rest of the game. But fear not, the ending will have some dope cutscenes ;)

7 - POLISHING THE GAME: Every game needs to be polished so that the player can have the best experience! I will maybe have a couple playtesters to find any bugs and glitches.

And that's about it for the development plan of chapter 1! I'll maybe share some music sneak peeks later too if I do happen to have one song ready :]
