Getting funding for your games in development

As covered in the lat news update, you need to firstly have a creative idea, not necessarily unique because sometimes adaptations work best, don’t re-invent the wheel (Our lecturers used to say). But if you have reinvented the wheel or just have a brilliant idea then kickstarter is a great way to get your games funded. Admittedly kickstarter is huge and other crowd funding options such as Indiegogo might be a better option. Once you have uploaded your basic content onto one of these sites, don’t be afraid to personalise it and throw in some photos, perhaps pre development shots of you working on your project, people love personality! Also by posting on one of these sites it shows that you have confidence in your own game and other will see that when they are making donations. You have nothing to lose so try it out and who knows.. you might recieve enough funding to collaborate with a huge team of passionate people who love your idea as much as you do! We will definitely be uploading Segment to a crowd funding platform in the near future :)
