Okay, so, I know what you’re all thinking but I promise it’s a lot more interesting than it first appears.

Basically Lake and Haiden (my Human Au designs) were at a technology convention being held in Montreal when one of the devices being showcased malfunctioned and ended up hitting them. They both appeared to be fine but then proceeded to have several drastic growth spurts in quick succession until they both ended up over 50ft tall.

Cue mass panic.

The other side effects, and the shock of the growth, scrambled Lake and Haiden’s minds, making them more aggressive and emotionally unstable. Seeing their new states they both panicked and eventually became fixated on grabbing Ashley and Lucas out of the preconceived notion that they were in some form of danger or had gotten separated from them and they both needed to get them back.

Alice isn’t here luckily, she’s on vacation with Chick/Caroline, Lake is also worried about her but is reassured that she’s safe due to being away.

Lake and Haiden arrive at Montreals high school, where Ashley and Lucas are due to it being a school day. Haiden tries to look for them without destroying everything but gets distressed when he can’t find them, causing Lake to get impatient and he ends up ripping the school roof off.

Unfortunately for them, the school saw them coming and evacuated the entire building. Lucas and Ashley got separated from the others due to Lucas’ genre savviness knowing that Lake and Haiden are probably after them so they have to lure them away from other people. Ashley is skeptical but trusts Lucas’ words as they haven’t failed before.

Though luring the two giants to a less populated area is a lot more difficult than Lucas and Ashley initially thought, they end up cornered in one of the taller buildings. Haiden and Lake tearing their way into the building to get them, both of them flushed from exertion and crying tears of relief at seeing both of them are okay and safe.

Lake quickly acts before the Lucas and Ashley can run from him and Haiden again, those two kids are in for a rough time. They’ll be fine though, albeit slightly smothered in parental affection and protected zealously by Lake and Haiden.
