Joey Drew from the Bendy series may not be considered a villain for some people, but he definitely did some... questionable things in his time.
But, as someone who makes games and art and music all for fun, he's really relatable in a sense most other characters aren't, despite making a lot of people suffer.
He just had ideas he wanted to share with the world. As he said himself, he was just a man with "a pencil and a dream", and he'd do anything to share his dreams with other people, and when the silver screen didn't cut it, he needed new ideas.
BATIM in general is a really fun concept and, while there's tons of lore to every main character and lots of backstory that might be more loosely tied to Mr. Drew, at its heart, to me it's a story about a man who wanted to bring his characters to life in every way possible and stumbled upon something incredible. Good? Maybe not. But incredible.
Anyways, yeah. That's about it.
