The Definitive Edition of A Terrible Night with Mr. Glasgow has been released to tide you guys over while you wait for Glasgow's 2: Definitive Edition. This new build features a bunch of new systems and reworks while still keeping the Glasgow's style and old charm.
Sam's mechanic has been reworked to be a lot more fair, featuring a meter system instead of the strict 3 bar limit.
The gate buttons in both the office and tablet have been reworked, adding hotkeys for both (E), as well as allowing you to mouse off the button without it letting go.
The limit's of the characters has been cleaned up to offer a more fair experience.
Impossible Mode has been renamed to Full Monty Mode.
A Password system is now featured in the game allowing you to continue at any point you want should you know the code.
Size inconsistencies have been fixed, mainly for Gumbo, who had a bad tendency of shrinking and growing in different cameras.
Sam finally has footsteps, which were in the game since the first release but have never properly worked until now.
A new credits OST composed by @GeorgeWKush to replace the ONwMS theme used previously.
A downloadable build is now available.
The blinding flashing effect when switching cameras has been removed.
Switching cameras no longer makes noise. As a compromise, the monitor now makes 2x noise when open.
A volume slider has been added. @Sarophi now you can shut up about the game being loud. >:(
Shadow Glasgow has been tuned to be more aggressive, forcing you to look away quicker.
Various bugs have also been patched, including:
Various characters not having their aggression timed for early time periods, making them incredibly aggressive depending on where they left off on the last run.
You were able to click the gate switch in the office through the monitor, it would not close but it would raise the sound meter.
The cameras used an old system to display graphics which were broken in current scratch builds on hand. This was fixed.
Credit graphics did not fully disappear.
You could raise the vent while Eyepeeler was hitting it, causing it to look very odd. The vent now locks in place until the animation is finished.
Weird flickering effects and ghosting happening on certain objects.
The game graphics have not been updated aside from very slight changes, like the paper telling you to turn to the kitchen with the arrow (courtesy of teaching a painfully inept @Honey_Rice ).
We want to be able to look back at our old games and admire how far the game graphics have come, and we don't really want to erase the past we've made up.
Also, this does not mean the game will stop receiving updates, something new is planned for when Glasgow's 2 Definitive Edition comes out. :)
Although now you can enjoy the brand new Glasgow's 1 : Definitive Edition. :3
