Glitch Log and New Build Release

Hey everyone, it’s been a while since I made another update. I’m feeling rather stressed lately. I had to pack up before moving out this week and I was pushing myself too hard. I decided to take the day off to get my strength back.

The new build will be up soon (will be updated to 3.2.5) that should fix the combat issues and performance. After that, I’ll be focusing on a slightly bigger update. No, there won’t be any new characters to play around with, but I plan to add a FNaF World PokeDex, expand the new secret area to make it more interesting, tweak the characters to perfection, add an in-game guide and a little more (if I can make some unmentioned ideas work as planned).

I want to get it out at least before June 9. As I said before, that’s when I’ll be moving out. If I couldn’t get a router set up, then that means I won’t be able to update the game for about three weeks. And that’s not good!

Before I end this, I need to say something: For the future of this game, I need YOUR help.

Ever since I released the game, people made reports of glitches that made me realize how much I rushed the game and how many oversights I made. Even with my own beta testers that I chose for trust reasons, it wasn’t enough to catch everything, and some bugs happened AFTER I released it. Sure, it’s OK for programmers to make mistakes, but I wanted to avoid the FNaF World curse that happened to Scott, only for it to happen to me.

All I ask if for you to write down any glitches or oddities you find during your playthrough and write them down in this post. Even if you told me some already, I ask for you to write them again here. That way, I’ll have those notes collected in one place so I can review them in the future.

I’ll try my best to listen for feedback and correct any issues that occur. Hopefully the final release will be the last! I wanted to make Redacted the best it can be, and I need some help from you guys. I may not be able to fit everyone in the credits, but I’ll send my special thanks to the GameJolt community for helping me out.

~GB

EDIT: Here’s some notes about the new build in question that’ll be posted later today.

The bug in which attacks don’t happen is now fixed. I went back to an older build that didn’t have this bug and it should be updated just fine.

The colour resolution has been reduced from 16 million to 65536. This change may annoy some purists, but it greatly improved the loading times for the combat sections and some parts of the overworld.

Added a button to enable or disable V-sync and some effects on the overworld, improving performance.
