can't see inside the terrain anymore.

and i guess that covers all the things i had to add to the world generation/visualization. I'll probably add an inventory system next but let me know if you have any other ideas

Quick update.

Only the areas that have a light source are visible now, which makes more sense. And i should probably get some proper sprites done for the blocks. I'm still using placeholder art.

tile and cave generation

though it can generate seemingly endless worlds, it takes more and more time to generate worlds above 1024x1024 tiles where it starts to take around 5+ minutes. Once it generates the game runs at a stable 3000 fps tho
