WEAPONS: Converge & Crackshot
SUPER: II (Shield Pal)
CHARM: Astral Cookie.
Phase 1:
This is my favorite phase in the entire game with it's incredible gameplay. You're going to want to farm parries with the Gnome Cauldron attack; on expert about 2 or 3 parriables will appear during 1 attack. Try to stay on the platforms and focus on verticality as the clouds never move X-position after spawning. As soon as you have 5 cards, create a Shield Pal.
Eventually the platforms will fall, and your strategy will have to adapt accordingly. If the geese attack happens with 4 or more platforms, it is safe to stand on the one that has lowered most recently as it will likely not raise again during the attack. If there are 3 or less, this strategy is risky or basically impossible, so you will need to run across the ground while the geese fly (make sure to attack while doing this to eliminate any Ground Gnomes). Do not stand still as Spike Gnomes will hit you.
As for the bear attack, you will want to stall for air time. As the bear approaches go to the right of the screen and jump off the closest platform into Glumstone's beard. DO NOT touch his face as there is a hitbox there. Once you land, double jump and dash into the beard to avoid the Spike Gnomes, and then go back on the platform closest to the right of the screen (the bear's hitbox is incredibly forgiving, so taking risks here could be worth it).
Use converge this whole phase. while on the platforms, lock in place to increase DPS; you do not need to unconverge during the Cauldron attack, but if there are Ground Gnomes. or Hammer Gnomes you can unconverge to kill them if necessary.
Once Glumstone reaches phase 2, he will cancel any attack currently happening and rip off his beard. Phase 2 begins here!
Phase 2:
If you have lost your Shield Pal in the previous phase, it should recharge about now- use it when you can!
Phase 2 reveals 2 hand puppets resembling the Devil and King Dice. It is relatively simple compared to phase 1 and a bit easier as well.
The ball will randomly start in either puppet's hands, and they will throw it based off of their position. You can either try to calculate this throw, or dodge roll through it as it doesn't stay on the ground for long.
The gnomes flying through the sky are the biggest nuisiances, however. They launch in random directions and are easily killed, but the sheer amount of them is overwhelming. If you see a white bump in the ground or a gnome climbing into the ripped beard, stay away from that position as a gnome will soon launch out. With Converge, they are mostly killed before going off screen, but if any sneak through dodge them and parry the pink ones.
Remember to make time to lock in place to maximize dps. When the puppets are down, switch to Crackshot for the rest of the fight.. Glumstone will swallow you, beginning phase 3!
Phase 3:
As you fall into Glumstone's stomach, do not move while falling as you may go into his stomach acid immediately. If you haven't already used another shield pal, now is the time to get your 6th card use in with either weapon; make sure to save your other 4 cards just in case you get hurt!
Glumstone's Uvula will move from left to right at the top the screen. If he is close, try to hit him with uncracked attacks, but don't risk damage to do this. he will spit out turkey legs and bones at the skulls you use as platforms. If it he spits turkey legs, guess which platform it will land on and stay away as it will sink platforms. If you need to get to a faraway platform, make use of double jumping and dashing to do so. If he spits a bone, the skull it lands on will spawn a parryable bell that "revives" all sunken platforms. Parry this bell as soon as possible.
As for the gnomes on the side, they will spit a dart at you as they fall. They only shoot when they hit your X-position while falling, so you can take advantage of this if you wish to do so by jumping at the height of their jump. They also shoot a parryable dart occasionally- use this to gain a super card if necessary and as another mobility option (Ms. Chalice gains a midair dash after a parry or a 2nd jump).
This phase will likely feel the longest as you will be doing damage with mostly cracked shots, but if you beat it you have sucessfully S-ranked Glumstone the Giant!
