Gonna Have To Put This On Hold... (Don't Worry Though!) (7/15/19)

Let me just cut straight to it:

Sadly, I have to postpone production of this basically entirely in terms of actually building the game, (designing sprites/assets/music/etc.) but don't worry! There's nothing that's going wrong that's causing this!

So, for the last 3 or so months I've basically been without a job and it's been kinda sucky if I'm being honest. Sure, in that 3 months I could've gotten a TON of stuff done with ER, but sadly, and regretfully, I didn't. If anything, I just wasn't motivated to do anything for it and kinda stopped doing anything related to game design - including learning.

I really am sorry about this. I never wanted to make any promises concerning the release of this game or anything; and it's all really because I've NEVER gotten this into game design before. I always just kinda messed around with Unity and barely touched Unreal Engine. Hell, the most experience I've had is basically Halo Reach Forge mode.

Anyway, I basically got my old job back recently so yay money! However, I'm also in the process of looking to move out and checking out nearby apartments to move into. I've been looking into doing this since about February, but when I couldn't make money, I was kind of lost. Because I'll be looking for a place to live away from home, working and apartment/furniture hunting is going to be taking up a large chunk of my time. And as a result, I'll have to postpone development even longer.

However! Fear not!! Recently I have gotten back to working more on the story (writing it out, creating new ideas, etc.) and I am still very much working on the music/sound design.

I will continue to grow and learn as much as I can about game design in order to attempt to give you guys the best possible first RPG game I can make. It will more than likely take me a very long time, but as I've said in previous posts, I'd like to try and get a demo out at some point this year (2019). If not this year, then I will absolutely try my hardest to get out some sort of demo in 2020.

Thank you all for your patience and willingness to wait. I know I haven't been the greatest about this whole endeavor, but I am going to try to get SOMETHING out to you guys/gals! I'm really excited to share this story with you in a way that I've always loved experiencing stories.

Love you all! Thanks for being awesome.

Feb. 2nd, 2019: - Messed around with some tile art I drew up real quick and managed to get the player walking animations to work somewhat-properly. Video of the latter coming soon, preferably with a better environment to showcase.

Been working lately on lots of 'behind-the-scenes' boring stuff that no one really cares about, so here’s a guy playing the sax for some reason.
