Let's just jump right into this.
The game is doing AMAZING progress wise. This month so far, we finished the cutscenes for the game, and we recently just started on the final portion of the game, Pirate Caverns. For those who are a bit new to FNaTI, Pirate Caverns is a point and click free roam portion of the game where you collect objects while defending yourself from enemies. Back in 2014, this was extremely innovative... however the original version of it today doesn't hold up well and its a bit wonky. We are doing our best to update it and make sure it plays well and holds up to today's standards.
The Caverns are planned to have multiple floors, so they'll be taking longer than the previous portions of the game. However, even if it takes longer, you can all sleep well knowing that once those floors are done you'll be closer to getting the fully released game. No, I'm not exaggerating how close this game is to completion. We are literally on the tip of the finish line. I'm so excited to see the day I get to write the release devlog.. which should be soon.
On the side of programming, our three coders have been working on the cutscenes, some AI adjustments for a special character, and setting things up for Pirate Caverns. Graphics-wise, we are currently still waiting on one of our team members to finish doing some graphical touchups to a few of our current rooms and to rig one last enemy.
As stated in previous devlogs, once I see the game in an acceptable, relatively complete state, production on the official trailer will begin. When that trailer is done and released, there's a good chance the full game will follow with it.
I hope you are all excited as I am, thank you.
Oh and, here's a BTS for a WIP room. that i posted earlier before this devlog by accident
