Guide to Enjoy the Indies VS Gamers Jam and How to Play Our Game

Hey sexy gamers around the world! Here’s a quick guide to the Game Jam and to getting our game “Good Days Are Gone” to successfuly run. Enjoy!

TL;DR

Chrome doesn’t work 100%. Download Mozilla. Have fun. But, I really suggest reading it to improve your experiences with Game Jolt <3

What, NO CHROME??!?!?

Yes… Sadly, our game is incompatible with Chrome’s browser much like every other unity web build. This is because of Chrome’s removal of NPAPI compatibilty. There are special means to getting it work anyways, however, I would highly recommend you don’t try it as it can lead to misleading results. And make you rate a good game negatively. And none of us devs would want that ;c

Well, how do I play your skrub games then??

All you gotta do is load up a different browser (preferably Firefox) and make sure you have an account on Game Jolt. If you don’t have one, you can make one here! Real easy huh? You bet your bottom dollar!

Okay, what do I need a Game Jolt account for?

Well, you don’t need it for every game on the site. Or, every game in the competition for that matter. However, some games, like our own, do require your credentials in order to connect you to a large world of sexy gamers like yourself and compete for highscores and achievements! Awesome right?? Right!

Now, what do I use my credentials for?

Logging in! Upon loading up our game, “Good Days Are Gone”, you’ll be prompted by a simple screen to connect you to Game Jolt. Here, you’ll need your Username and your Game Token (found at the bottom left corner of your screen, right above the log out button). And then you’re off to play amazing games!

Cool! But wait… Earlier you mentioned Firefox. Why?

Firefox is a beautiful browser that basically solidifies the idea of plug’n play for the browser game market. When you install it, you can import all your settings from your previos dull and boring browser and it only take a couple click-a-roos and it take about 5 minutes to install. Yup, that’s right, 5 MINUTES!! So what are you waiting for? Firefox is an easy way to ensure your enjoyment from not only the Indies VS Gamers Game Jam, but the many to come as well! You can download it here if you’re interested!

Wow, that was a lot… Got anything else big mouth?

Yup. Just one last thing!! Please, enjoy playing the game jam as much as we devs enjoyed making it. And, don’t forget to play our game!! Good Days Are Gone. Remember, take everything you see with a grain of salt. Bye bye ;)

Love,
The Supported Amazingly Awesome And Not Huberous Apexity Team
