So far, I think Splatoon is my favorite game series. The effort and creativity put in the games truly show that Nintendo developers care, and they're not just doing it for the money. They're doing it because they want to do it. The concept already is original, but oh my goodness, the hero modes are by far the best additions to the games.

As a lore guy, I really appreciate the many ways they tell us the lore of the games. It can be from just observing the enemies' behavior, to scanning memory compressed into physical form, to being delivered it instantly by an AI. I love the originality of these games.
