Probably one of my favorite Sonic game I've played. This was by far the best direction the series needed, Sonic Forces and Team Sonic Racing was where I lost my interest for the series for the lazy gameplay and cringe writing.

The Open Zone gameplay I had a lot of fun with, the guardians that acts like mini boss fights are quite unique, even after beating them, they drop a portal gear which gives you access to a cyberspace level. I know some people hate the cyberspace levels, since they're just a copy of other levels from previous Sonic games, but I still had fun with those levels. Probably my favorite one I had fun with was 2-6, which is based on Sky Rail from Sonic Adventure 2.

The Soundtrack for the game is probably another one of my favorites, I really like the calm feel with some of the islands in the game, I quite enjoyed the EDM music for the Cyberspace levels, the Titans boss themes was also hard, as they go for a Metalcore feel to it and I do like the game's main theme I'm Here by Merry Kirk-Holmes.

The story was also really good as this is the first Sonic game to be written by Ian Flynn and this was my first time getting to see his writing and I think this story works well for me.

Probably a good Sonic game I've played through, even if some people hate it with the whole pop in and rushed ending, it was still enough for me to enjoy.
