It’s holiday time! On behalf of Circus Horse team, we would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas and happy New Year! May the force joy be with you!
2016 is an interesting year after all. We did the experimental short story Noor for Game Jolt for GDC jam and the floppy disk’s journey through time, Fallen, for Ludum Dare 36. We developed Somewhere, Someplace, Someone (SSS), an ambitious story game about a space colony crew travelling back to Earth, for a few months, and then cancelled it because it was way more bigger than we thought.
So yeah, we took time to think back a lot of things. What kind of games we did best? What do people like from our games? What we can make with our current abilities? What kinds of things can we innovate and polish?
Remember the last few teaser posts and videos? Now it’s time to look at the real thing!
Hollow Rhyme
Hollow Rhyme tells a story about a boy who wakes up at his school late at night, confused and alone. To say more will spoil the experience, but it’s safe to say that he’s not by himself and a lot of things will happens <3
It will be our longest game so far, planned to be divided to three separate episodes. Each episode will continue the boy’s journey as he went deeper in to the night. It’s also going to be our first commercial game, and we plan to release it on Game Jolt, Itch.io, and Steam.
As of now, we already finished a few development sprints for the first episode and it’s starting to come together. There are still a few bits of content, polish, and testing to do though, so it’s gonna need more time.
Steam Greenlight
We’re going to start the Steam Greenlight campaign next week and we’re gonna need your help to make it through! Hopefully there is also enough people hanging around on winter sales to add so we can make it and start preparing for release :)
We’ll release more details about the game and updates through our Greenlight progress early next week, so stay tuned!
