2024 has ended. But, even with that, this year has been an interesting one- for better or worse. But, before we get to the stuff that was bad in 2024, let's go over the stuff that was good in 2024.
I've returned to making FNAF Fan-Games
That's right, I came back to making FNAF Fan-Games again at the start of this year. And I was originally going to have alot of FNAF Fan-Games released this year. But, sometimes, plans tend to change. So, you only got 2 FNAF Fan-Games (3, if you count the PROJECT:102 Teaser Game I released) this year. The reason for that will be mentioned when I get to the bad things of 2024.
And with that statement, let's move on.
The FIVE NIGHTS AT GUMBALL'S: DRAWING EDITION series came back!
After 5 years of no FNAG:DE games, the series came back in the form of the FIVE NIGHTS AT GUMBALL'S: DRAWING EDITION Comeback Series, starting with the FIVE NIGHTS AT GUMBALL'S 2: DRAWING EDITION V1 (REDRAW). Also, on the same day that the GameJolt page for it came out, I also launched the Official FIVE NIGHTS AT GUMBALL'S: DRAWING EDITION Community.
The remaining FIVE NIGHTS AT GUMBALL'S: DRAWING EDITION Comeback Series games will be out in 2025.
FNATAS4 Rebranded finally came out!
If you've been following FNATAS4 Rebranded's development, it has been cancelled a few times. The first time was due to drama and toxcity, second time was due to doxxing. And after all that, ownership of the series was given to @thatdoggocalledray. And it was announced that the game would get remade again. But, after awhile, the remake was cancelled due to lack of motivation.
Then, sometime last year, the main developer of FNATAS @IronJaiden - came back. Sometime later, FNATAS4 Rebranded came back again, but in the form of a 2-night demo. And a month ago, the full version of FNATAS4 Rebranded finally came out after 2 years of development.
FNAF, FNATI and TRTF all turned 10 years old this year!
To start off, the FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S franchise turned 10 years old this year. And it's surreal that one of my favorite Horror Game franchises is a decade old. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of FNAF, an event for it took place from August 1st to August 8th.
And here's a quick recap of it: On August 1st, the full version of myPopgoes came out. On August 2nd, the demo for THE JOY OF CREATION came out. On August 3rd, a free FNAF Interactive Novel (that I am yet to read) called VIP was released. On August 4th, the "Scott Cawthon interview with Dawko 2.0" video was released on YouTube and I did watch it and liked it. On August 5th, a mystery collab was announced. But, prior to that, some people thought it was a Fortnite collab. But, it wasn't, because it was announced on August 5th that FNAF would be collabing with Dead By Daylight, which I wasn't expecting. On August 6th, a teaser for an upcoming FNAF Game by Steel Wool was uploaded on YouTube. And that FNAF Game in question is called FNAF: Secret of the Mimic. And I looked forward to that announcement. On August 7th, the FNAF: Into The Pit game came out a day early (originally, it was gonna be released on August 8th). And I haven't played it yet. So, when a physical Nintendo Switch release for it comes out, I will be playing it. Also, on August 7th, the demo for Five Laps at Freddy's came out. Then, on August 8th, leaked script pages for the upcoming 2nd FNAF Movie were released and appearently, one of the pages is from the actual FNAF 2 Movie script. Also, speaking of the FNAF2 Movie, throughout the FNAF 10th Anniversary event, teasers for the FNAF2 movie were released. (If I missed anything else regarding FNAF's 10th Anniversary, let me know in the comments)
Then, earlier this month, FNATI celebrated it's 10th anniversary. To celebrate, @RadianceGamesOfficial put out a FNATI game called Treasure Island: Abandoned Enigma. And also, (before you yell at me in the comments, I didn't continue the game after Night 2, so this is from what I saw from Gameplay videos on YouTube) the Max Mode's name is Abandoned by God. Huh. Back to Treasure Island’s hardest Challenge Night is also called that.
Then, a few days ago, TRTF celebrated it's 10th Anniversary. And there was also an TRTF 10th Anniversary Gamejam going on (Not only did I not particpate in it, but I also did not watch the entire Gamejam video, atleast not yet). And also, the post I put out on the anniversary was featured in the TRTF Community. I wasn't expecting that to happen.
A FNAF PLUSHIES Fan-Game finally exists!
2 years after I announced that you can make your own FNAF PLUSHIES fan-games, one finally exists. And the FNAF PLUSHIES fan-game in question is a FNAF PLUSHIES 3 V4 Remake by @M4MGT7995 called: Five Nights at Freddy's Plushies 3: Definitive Edition.
@M4MGT7995 asked if he can make a FNAF PLUSHIES fan-game and I told him that I'm okay with it. But, I wasn't expecting it to be a remake of FNAF PLUSHIES 3 V4.
It's been 8 months since we got an update on the game, but regardless, I am looking forward to it when it does come out.
Here's a link to the game's GameJolt page by the way, if you want to follow it and be kept up to date with it's progress:

Now with the good stuff out of the way, let's move on to the bad stuff.
{I would normally talk about FNAF Drama that happened throughout the year. But, I decided that starting this year, I am no longer comfortable talking about FNAF Drama in Happy New Year posts anymore. So, moving on.}
Delays and Injuries? Oh my!
PROJECT:102 was originally going to be released in March, then it was delayed to April, May and June because of me being busy with other stuff. But, then, in June of this year, what happened next majorly affected PROJECT:102's Development and it also explains why the Game came out at the end of August. On one day in June, I injured one of my wrists, which caused a bruise to appear. As a result of that, I had to wear 2 braces in order for it to heal: One for a few days and then, one for 3 Weeks. As a result of that, the game's release was delayed to Early/Mid July. But then, it was delayed to come out at the end of August. But, despite that, I still managed to finish PROJECT:102 and release it at the end of August, regardless.
As for why the FNAG2:Drawing Edition V1 (Redraw) came today on New Years Eve? Well, you see, the full game was going to come out in October, but then it was delayed to November and finally, to December. And that's because of me being busy with other stuff. But, hey, atleast this time, I didn't injure myself during development on the FNAG2:Drawing Edition V1 (Redraw).
A.I-Generated Things
Recently, some A.I-Generated images, videos, etc. have been popping up online. And it's still going on, as of typing this devlog. In my opinion, I am not comfortable with A.I being used for things like videos and images. Because when it's used for things, you may or may not notice that something in that video or image is off.
So, to summarize, I am just not comfortable with A.I being used for things, that's all.
The "Don't post anything that's AI-Generated." rule exists in the list of rules in the FIVE NIGHTS AT GUMBALL'S: Drawing Edition - Official Community for a reason after all.
The Bot Situation of 2024
Near the end of September this year, a situation occured wherein 2 bots -who I will not name- left likes on random Gamejolt pages (even unlisted ones) via hacking and brute-forcing random Gamejolt page URLs. And at first, I thought this was only happening to me. But, later, I discovered that it has affected many other developers.
I made alot of devlogs (that are now deleted) talking about this situation, I blocked those 2 bots, I reported them to Gamejolt and I even sent some E-Mails to Gamejolt about this situation. But, a few hours past and Gamejolt didn't respond to the situation.
And I thought that this situation wouldn't be dealt with. But, eventually, it was and Gamejolt did respond to the situation. Because one of the bots accounts got deleted. And ever since then, this bot situation didn't happen again for the rest of the year (Atleast that's I think).
While I am glad this situation was dealt with, this situation led to me disabling likes and comments whenever I make new Gamejolt pages (and enabling them when I am about to release them).
Hopefully, this whole situation won't happen again.
And that's everything for this devlog. I have a lot of things coming out next year, so look forward to that.
Now, here's to a (hopefully...) better 2025, everyone.
