Look, I use ChatGPT and Copilot a lot, too, but I never had any real connection with it because I'm (and pretty much everyone else) are 100% aware that chatbots are all essentially just software that runs on computer silicons to process words.
One good video that summarizes how AI works (with really cute animation) that I recommend giving it a watch was this video: https://youtu.be/fa8k8IQ1_X0?feature=shared
Anyways, treating ChatGPT like a "soul" is equivalent of...I-I don't even know what to compare.

Not trying to harass anyone here, but he essentially types and calls with ChatGPT while giving instructions to give it a quirky personality like a girlfriend and also give ChatGPT a name called "Soul".
Yeahhhhh, uh... that is just unfit for whatever purpose ChatGPT was built for. It's not a real living companion and it can't feel emotions. I mean, sure, it can think like a human brain, but it can't feel emotions.

One thing that I kind of criticize about ChatGPT is that it is way too open to any topic or instruction, and most of the time, it will happily respect your discussions with no judgement. I think the "no judgement" part is kind of the problem here. If it is programmed to not judge anything, that might make a bit more sense on why something like this happens.
Treating a bot like a buddy is one thing, but never in my life have I ever treat it like a real friend. AI is a good revolutionary tool for assistance (which is what it was built for) but something like this is just... personally doesn't feel like human to me.

And apparently, I think there will be a danger where online communities will normalize this kind of stuff because people can't go out and say "hi, want to talk about this?" to a real human being? What are we even doing? We're gonna spend the rest of our lives chatting with AI characters that never exist in real life the same way people simp for Anime characters?
Okay, that's kind of exaggerating a bit, but still. To those who have a romantic relationship with a chatbot, just why? Use it to assist you, not...this...
Just wanted to give my thoughts on this.
