Hello Again — Ko-Fi and Future Happenings

Hello, everyone!

Just today, I noticed that a sizeable creator by the name of Worm Girl on YouTube made a lengthy video discussing Scholar of the Wilbur Sin, which is extremely exciting! I never would have thought all the way back then that my silly mod would get such attention, but here we are!

To coincide with the inevitable influx of people checking out this mod, I am once again going to remind everybody that I have a Ko-Fi where you can donate to me and help support my work. I am an artist, a writer, and have several projects in the making as of writing this—both Lisa-related and not. I am, of course, also a lead programmer on the Pointless Monster Update, on which I have likely put in more time than even Scholar itself.

Also, on another note: in Worm Girl's video, she plays and discusses an edited version of Scholar known as Infinity Unfolds. I have always been fine with people adding onto Scholar and trying to realize their own visions within the world. That much is fine; however, I would like to reiterate that I am NOT affiliated with any of these mods and never have been. My work is exclusively for the original Scholar of my design as well as the main Pointless by Ed Kandrotas.

I give this reminder because it is easy to mistake content added in these expansions as things that were in the original Scholar; even Ed himself had trouble telling. That's a good thing! It shows that the content is faithful to the source material. That said, it is not mine, so do not credit me for such additions. What you MUST do, on the other hand, is credit the artists who made the original assets. You may find the credits in the files of the game.

With all that said, I hope everyone had a merry Christmas and a happy New Year! There is a lot to look forward to this year... including with Scholar, though to that end, I won't say much...

Thank you for reading this and playing and enjoying Scholar, and a special thank you to Worm Girl for her coverage of the mod! I will see you all again sooner than you think...

Ah, the innocence of youth.

Many new secrets of the past await in the next content update. Will you uncover them...?

So, now that the hype of the initial release has died down, I'm happy to say there is still more on the way. For now, the regular updates will cease (barring the discovery of a major glitch), but rest assured, big things are coming. Stay tuned...

Hi, everyone! We here at the SotWS team have been hard at work getting the game's final update ready. No promises, but it'll be done sooner than you think! In the meantime, here are some not-so-friendly faces that didn't quite make the cut for the update.

Hi, everyone! Today, as I promised prior to Version 1.5's launch, I will be showing off some content that was scrapped due to the downgraded scale of the update. Look below for more details on what was planned!

Hello, everybody! I am very excited to announce the release of the 1.5 update for Scholar of the Wilbur Sin! This will be the final major content addition for the game. The team and I worked ourselves half to death on this; so please, enjoy!

School has once again become a serious blockade to progress, but it is being made, albeit slowly. Many minor additions have been made, including: new and reworked moves, fixed bugs, and a general overhaul of the mod's balancing. Exciting stuff!

Hi, everyone! I just wanted to give a little info on the next update, since it's been a while: it will be released in two parts. The first is an overhaul of the base mod to tweak and add many new things. The second will be something... else. You'll see...

Hello, everyone.

With a heavy heart, I announce today that Scholar's last major update is being heavily reduced in size. What this means: the second part of the update has been cancelled, and the first has been truncated. More details below.

We've officially crossed the threshold. After a stressful period of rapid implementation and bugfixing, I can confidently say we are moving on to the last stages of development.

Wait patiently, my friends! The time draws near!

Lovely night to look out on the horizon, isn't it? And on the horizon, February approaches... Stay tuned, my friends!
