I’m seeing a lot of faces from Reddit dropping by. I really appreciate you guys being here! I hope you are enjoying the project so far!
Today is a bit of a minor update. I’ve added in some ambient noises, made some fixes to the giant (not final, but working again at least), and most of the sounds for enemies have been added and are working. I might do some tweaking to them, but at this point it’s sounding pretty close to where it should be.
Known Bugs:
Werewolves and Crows occasionally charge AWAY from the player instead of towards them. Occasionally this will push them through a wall and off the map. If they extend beyond the boundaries of the map grid, the game will not crash per say, but the movement will get funny. If possible leave and return to the map and the grid and you can continue your playthrough. I’m fairly certain this is just a matter of a variable being negative when it should be positive, and I’ll be hunting this down when possible.
enemies can stand in the Giant’s body part tiles, usually the upper left. This is most likely an error during the collision checking process. Depending on time, resources, and morale, this bug may stay in the project as it does not seem to break the game.
-hiding crows’ status frames can still be seen, thus making them somewhat less than hidden.
Changes to Come:
sounds do need a little tweaking, and some are missing.
I will be adding a limited number of healing items to the player inventory.
the Yharnam Bridge is not wide enough for the giant nor the werewolves to navigate and will need to be widened by 1 or 2 tiles.
I plan on adding an intro and ending cutscene, but these and the final title screen will likely be among the last things to be added for ease of testing.
