Game
The Lich Of Onogoro

Hello everyone!

Hi,

let us introduce ourselves, we are the Splendens Studios a Brazilian indie game studio focusing in mobile hardcore games. Our first big project is The Lich Of Onogoro (this one), and we are very excited to publish it here in game jolt so the early birds can know our project in more details and feed us back with comments, critics and suggestions.

So to explain the game in general it is a Metroidvania style, 2D platformer, that takes advantage of some features in mobile devices to improve the player’s experience.

In the game the player controls Lilian, a loyal general from the Dholon Order, one of the various organizations of Onogoro (more about that in future posts). A series of events makes Lilian rethink her loyalty to the Order and leave the army as a deserter, and her journey through Onogoro begins. The game will count with lots of landscapes that goes from the deep Vaaron forests to the dangerous and unstable Rhorün mountains.

Our focus is in developing a good plot and having a great set of mechanics to introduce challenging puzzles and innovative ways of interacting with a mobile game.

We are working in this title since early 2013 and a lot of stuff has changed since then. Including the art style and game mechanics, but it is getting pretty cool we can tell.

So to start our dev log, some screenshots to illustrate the game felling.

We're knee deep in multiple large features and "game feel". Quick peek behind the scenes in this weeks Dev Blog: https://bit.ly/2QmmaQM

Our Japanese themed game released yesterday on Gamejolt + Itch io if anyone would like to check it out! :) You play as a spirit of a japanese wolf.

I created a new character for a small video game I'm planning to make soon. I used Blender, Substance Painter and Marmoset.
