Thought I'd give a little update on the Crafty's Play Zone DLC for you guys. I had been very slowly developing it for a few weeks with the "first section" of the game being completed along with the intro section being halfway done. However, I had hit a bit of a roadblock.
I've come to realise that the DLC's gameplay structure just doesn't work. It's messy, convoluted, and doesn't flow in a very good way for players. Without spoiling too much, the gameplay basically functioned very linearly similar to Sister Location... except worse... (and that's saying something because a lot of people HATE Sister Location's gameplay)
So I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that I'm scrapping a good chunk of what I had planned/made. This does mean that the entire first section will not be in the final version of the DLC (I'll be sure to show it off at a later date, though!).
However, the good news is that I think the new gameplay format is going to work much better! I'm going to take it more in line with the base game's original roots with more of a typical stationary, FNAF-styled experience. On top of this, the story I had planned is basically unchanged along with the intro still being kept!
So that's basically it. The DLC has had a bit of a set-back, so there's a lot of work to do. But I know that once it's finished, it'll be a great follow-up experience to the base game of Crafty's Play Zone!
(TLDR: Gameplay of the CPZ DLC is entirely scrapped due to poor gameplay structure. New format should work better, thank you for your patience!)
