Lets not waste any time and get right into the good stuff.
Firstly, ive decided I want EcoVist to be in 'public early access' throughout the entirety of development, starting as soon as I get a teeny bug fixed in the current version. What does this mean? Well, basically, it means instead of having select beta testers like most of our projects, the community will be our 'beta testers'. Meaning that you'll have access to this project and have the ability to play it arguably way earlier than you should, and it'll make finding bugs and squashing them 100x easier.
Secondly, Console Releases are a no-go for right now with this project. This might change later but for right now we want to focus on VR and PC, console no longer being nearly as much of a priority. Which, speaking of VR, the ability to play EcoVist in VR mode will be a built in feature, no mods or anything like that. This may make multiplayer a bit tricky to impliment but its worth the extra amount of work to be able to reach a larger audience.
Finally, just to clear up any misconseptions about what this game is now, it is no longer going to be the exact same as what I originally envisioned for the project. It is still going to be a survival game, just procedural and less story driven.
Sorry for the long read, and keep your eyes open for that upcoming early access release
Thanks!
