Just wanted to finally write a proper update on a lot of stuff, I haven't really written anything in quite a long time so thought it would be a good idea to do so. The last update seems to have been TSFACP 6 months ago, so yeah I'm long overdue. XP
Get out of The (GOOT):
So, let's begin with the game I am currently working on, last I mentioned of it was just that it's gonna be like Cold Massacre just fleshed out. I guess that's still kind of true but not quite? Basically, this game is gonna be much more story-based, it'll be much like the old RPG maker games I used to enjoy like 10 years ago. It will still have a free-roam map and a metroidvania-ish setup with you having to get keys to unlock different doors and buildings, it'll just also have its own streamlined story taking place at the same time. Weirdly enough the best comparison I can think of is GTA 5. The story and the map you can roam around in is kinda intertwined but at the same time seperated. I think the concept is cool and I've been working hard on it. :)
Regarding the story, I haven't actually come that far on it! I've only made like 10-20 minutes of playtime with what I've currently got going. The bottleneck is most definetly the spritework. I have always been a better coder than an animator (I think that's quite apparent with TSFACP) so the sprites take so long to make since I'm just not that interested in it and I would rather work on coding. Ironically enough, that's exactly the reason why I can't work on the coding, since I haven't made the sprites. Procastination is one hell of a thing isn't it? I am trying to be better at that department of course, like everyone else I have my productive periods of time and some...uh, less productive periods of time.
I did want to share some of the things I've been working on of course, so that you can all see that I am actually working on the game, instead of just saying something along the lines of "trust me bro". So here you go:

Why no updates?:
Well, I've been busy. That's basically it, there really isn't any magical insane answer to this incredible question. I've just been plain busy with studying. I've been trying to get good grades and get a well paying job of course so that leaves less time for working on games and writing these types of posts. I think people that talk to me on Discord and such also have heard the same thing, I just don't respond as often as I would like. I'm not even sure my life will calm down after this, that's the worst part. The best I can do is just deligate my time efficiently and try and do my best.
