As much as he loves his family he also equally wants to give all his time and focus to the franchise. It did lead to the consequence of the death of his daughter and the falling of his family, some only learn through pain after all.
But it doesn’t seem it quite hit him right as he still is trying to give life to these characters, it’s almost like it just made everything worse. When will he learn ? Who knows.
