Since development for Scratch Simulator: Showtime is taking a little longer than I originally expected, and I don't want to keep you all waiting without something to show for it, I had you all vote on a poll for something you want me to reveal, and Gameplay Ideas Reveal won, so here are some gameplay ideas that I have, and some that I have used for SS Showtime! (As a heads up, I won't spoil any of the game here, so don't worry about any spoilers lol)
Chapter 1: For chapter 1, I wanted to do something simple, since it is the first section of the game. What I ended up doing was a little similar to Scratch Simulator: Remake's first night. I had a mechanic where you had to keep something charged up to avoid dying, and that's something that I thought of to feature in the first chapter. I wanted to have something to keep you busy so while in between waiting for the enemy to appear, you will have something to stay focused on, so you aren't just sitting there.
Chapter 2: For chapter 2, I wanted to get creative and do something I haven't really done before. I unironically took inspiration from Into the Depths, or Scratch Simulator 2. I had some monitors, and you pretty much have to keep track of the enemies, and close the doors when one draws near. The twist is, is that you can only have one vent closed at a time. While playing through it, I thought it was honestly pretty fun, and I loved the details that I added to the monitors, while not super detailed, because it's Scratch.
Chapter 3: for chapter 3, I wanted to go for something I've never really seen anybody do before. To avoid spoiling too much about the night, pretty much, you're on a stage, and you have to turn on stage lights to keep enemies away. That's all I want to say about that, because I'm decently happy with how it turned out.
Chapter 4: for chapter 4, I really couldn't think of something at first, until I thought of something. Something I didn't think would work out very well at first until I started creating it. I wanted to go for something similar to the Funtime Foxy minigame from FNAF Sister Location, and I'm personally very happy with how it turned out. It is pretty difficult, but I don't think it's too hard to manage.
Hopefully this suffices, and I hope you are excited for more updates!
