So, basically, the creature's name is Ash, referencing the fact that it was first seen in a burning building, seemingly a pile of ash, which then turned into a gooey pitch black substance, which then took the form of anything it killed or possessed.

Ash is often seen in the forests of the Inescapable Insanity world, and often torments those that it deems worthy of being its next victim.

It is a shapeshifter that is capable of easily killing powerful creatures, through both physical and mental means. It can ruin someone's life to the point where it makes them want to commit suicide, and often times, this tactic succeeds.

Once it has successfully killed it's victim, it then proceeds to possess them, and take their form. This can be seen in 3rr0r, where Ash has taken Bambi's form after the events of Alone.

Nobody knows where it came from, but what everybody knows is that this being is incredibly dangerous, and must be avoided at all costs. If you see it, ignore it and go the other direction. Don't be fooled. The way you can tell it's Ash is if there's some sort of marking near the forehead. Ash in 3rr0r had his head covered by a blood looking substance though, making this marking nearly impossible to see.

He often appears like he's dead to lure victims in, and oftentimes, it works.

He WILL NOT hesitate to kill you if you've been lured into his trap. Few survive to tell the tale, and that's how they know of his existence.
