first is Whimus the grass type. now most grass type starters are based off of extinct animals so I chose the ornithomimus dinosaur because it lived in forests and was a herbivore. it is also based on the whipple cholla cactus which will be more apparent in its evolutions but you can see the yellow flower the cactus on its tail. I also looped in aspects from other birds (cause dino's were just primitive birds) stuff like kiwi's.

next is Rinotor the fire type. It is based off of the Ringneck Snake and I used a snake because it is a piece of the Chinese zodiac not yet used by pokemon. I also used vehicle and motor aspects in there such as it having motorcycle glasses for eyes and the belly of a Ringneck is orange so I turned that into a yellow road line. its name is a mixture of ring and motor.

finally there is apater the water type (i tried the hardest on this ones origin). now most water starters have a weapon or warrior theme so I chose a Navajo warclub and you can see that on the end of it's snout. I also chose a horse because they are a sacred animal to the navajo especially the appaloosa horse. it's name is a mixture of appaloosa, water, and navajo.
