Hey creators!

We’ve got some exciting news and updates to share with you! Let’s dive in:

1. Game Jolt’s Growth

In the last 6 months, Game Jolt has doubled in new users. What does that mean for YOU? Well, every creator's posts are automatically boosted on the platform, meaning your content has the potential to reach even more people. To make sure you’re maximizing your exposure, be sure to post often, and don’t forget to tag the right communities and realms. This way, your posts will show up in the Following or For You feeds of new users on Game Jolt. The more you post and engage, the more likely you are to get discovered by the growing user base!

2. No Animation Required on Shop Items

In case you missed the news last summer, we made a change based on your feedback: you no longer need to animate your shop items on Game Jolt. You can now sell static, non-animated avatar frames, backgrounds, and stickers in your store. This change is aimed at making it easier for you to create and sell content without the added pressure of animation.

3. Spread the Word: Game Jolt is Here to Stay

With the recent shifts happening on platforms like X, Instagram, and Facebook, Game Jolt is here as an inclusive alternative for creators. But we need your help! We’re not asking you to promote us directly—we just want you to promote your own Game Jolt profile. Let your followers on Bluesky (and anywhere else) know that you're on Game Jolt. Not only does this give your followers a new place to connect with you, but it also means you get paid when they follow you on our platform—a benefit you won’t get on other networks.

4. Creator Applications: The Pause and What’s Next

As you know, we value our creator community and work hard to keep the program lean, active, and manageable. This is all part of ensuring we can maintain the personal access you have to us. Due to an overwhelming number of applications, we had to pause creator sign-ups for the last 3 months. We've since reopened flood gates and are now actively accepting new creators so be sure to refer your friends!

Moving forward, we’ll be reaching out to creators who haven’t posted in the last 3 months to encourage them to become active again. Creators who no longer wish to use Game Jolt actively will be removed from the program. We want to make sure our creators are passionate and engaged, and we appreciate your continued support.

That’s it for this edition of the Game Jolt Creator Newsletter! Thanks for being such a key part of our community. Keep posting, keep creating, and as always, keep having fun!
