Yes, you've read that right, your boy over here has officially cemented himself in a FNAF fangame twice now (the first time was with my submitted JJ drawing for FNAF 2: Reconstructed)! It genuinely took a LOT to get here, so sit back and relax while I tell you all my tale...
So prior to Refreshed officially coming out, I was already good friends/mutuals with Pyturret and Lightcat (two devs of the game), so I was fully on board with supporting this fangame of theirs as much as I realistically could. What I DIDN'T expect though was what happened after the game came out. Needless to say, my mind was absolutely BLOWN AWAY with how amazing the game was. It was so good it straight-up made me make a full-on review/drawing to celebrate its official release (which you can read more about here)! I'm not even saying this to glaze or anything: Barring some bugs/oversights, I nearly had a flawless experience. Now, you would THINK this is where the story would end: I loved the game, wished the team well, and just moved on, but nope, it actually only just began!
So some days go by and the team starts teasing the next big update for the game, The 1.5 Update (the version on Gamejolt is 1.2). This update was planning on not just fixing up some lingering issues people had with the game, but also just completely adding new stuff entirely (characters, Bytes, enemies, etc). As you can imagine, I was hella hyped! Well, fast-forward to near the end of May, and my whole shadowban situation happened. I was pretty upset over what was going on, so I made sure to give everyone I was good friends with my socials in the event that something would happen to THIS account and I had to move somewhere else. Pyturret was one of those good friends. I gave him my Discord (that I at the time hadn't used since I made it back in like 2022) and THAT'S when I found out that FNAF World Refreshed had an official Discord server. I joined, made some new friends, and overall had a great time. But now it's time I actually tell y'all how I became a playtester.
It was a pretty regular day all things considered, and while talking in the general chat, I just innocuously said "Becoming a moderator sounds cool, but what I REALLY wanna apply for is to be a playtester."

Well it just so happened that Pyturret was online when I sent that message, and he then asked me to talk in our DMs about the possibility of me becoming a playtester. Mind you, I literally said this completely casually because I legit thought there was no chance in HELL I would ACTUALLY become a playtester. We had a little talk and just like that, I officially became a playtester. It honestly felt like a whole new world (pun intended) opened up to me. I got placed in a whole new server with fellow playtesters (that I've also become good friends with) and best of all: I got to play 1.5 early! Now, you're probably thinking "Oh ok so you just listed down some bugs, what's so cool about that?", and at first that's what I THOUGHT I was gonna do. But then I had an idea. A wonderful idea.
Y'all already know that I like to go all out when it comes to collabs/contributions, right? Well, I decided to write up a playtest report, but this wasn't gonna be any ORDINARY playtest report. I wanted to legitimately prove to the team that I would help out and give 110% to them whenever needed, and that's exactly what I did. Over 40+ pages long, it was composed of all the positives, negatives, and suggestions I had for the game, and it no joke took me over 5 days to fully finish. THAT'S why I was gone for so long. It took such a long time, but in the end, I was met with RESOUNDING praise in the playtesting server, and while of course I don't wanna spoil TOO much of what was in the report, I'll just say this: Some of my ideas may or may not have influenced the devs, but I'll wait for y'all to play 1.5 when it offically releases to the public to see what I mean. ;)
The reason I'm bringing all this up now is that just yesterday, a FNAF YouTuber named Narrow Raven (who I highly recommend you check out, link to his channel here) was given an EXCLUSIVE build of 1.5 by the devs, and livestreamed himself showing off all the new stuff added since 1.2 (which you can ALSO find here)! I had no idea about what had been added/updated since the previous build, so I was just as surprised as he was! But once he beat Chica's Magic Rainbow, the credits appeared and started rolling by, and THAT'S when I officially saw that my name was credited as a playtester. I legit freaked out when I saw it. MY name, being in the credits for a FNAF fangame?! It was heaven bro, seriously.
It's here that I extend my biggest thanks and appreciation to 4 people: @Pyturret , @lightcatdev
, @malkmalk
, and Narrow Raven! These 4 have seriously made my day in the best way possible, and from the bottom of my heart, I sincerely thank them for not only giving me the opportunity to playtest, but for giving me credit in the game's credit list. As for Narrow Raven, I sincerely thank him for streaming the new update and being such a cool dude in general! Y'all REALLY should go follow him, he makes pretty neat FNAF content!
Ok, I think I've officially said all that I needed to say. In case you're wondering, no, The 1.5 Update is NOT out yet; Narrow Raven was just given a showcase build to promote the game and show off what'll be in it. There's been no official release date given for 1.5; it'll POSSIBLY come out around late June to early July depending on how much gets done in that time. Please understand that I AM JUST A PLAYTESTER. I don't know anything about the team's inner workings, I just playtest what they drop. Also, please do NOT go to their profiles and ask them stuff like "when is 1.5 coming out?", that doesn't help anyone and only pressures the team. Just be patient and in the blink of an eye, it'll be here before you know it. If any of you have made it THIS far into the article, thank you. New art WILL be coming soon, I've just been really busy helping out the Refreshed team. Hope you all have a wonderful day!
TL;DR: I was invited by the devs of FNAF World Refreshed to help playtest their game (which is why I've been gone for so long), and my name was officially cemented in the credits as a thanks for all my hard work!
