Hey guys,

Below is an article just highlighting the progress I've made over the last couple of days. sorry if its long <3

So for the past few days I’ve just been finishing up what I would consider the core mechanics of the game, so basically the simplest version of the main features, I feel like I have a solid foundation to build upon now so that’s good i suppose xD, I’ll just give you guys a run through of the last mechanics that I’ve implemented and fixed bugs on.

Creating Games

Things you need:

  • Name (Enter in input field)

  • Topic (Learn topics from interacting with tv)

  • Size (small, medium, large - effects the time it takes to make and development cost)

  • Art (Either buy art which results in low quality games, or increase your skills to make your own and improve the game quality)

  • Audio (same as art but with audio skill)

  • Engine (increase programming skill to use better game engines to improve quality)

Learn Intermediate skills

To do an online course to gain intermediate skills you must first learn the basic skill by interacting with the bookshelf. You can access the Online courses by interacting with the computer.
As of now there is no way to get expert skills as I plan to add a way to gain them through the software job that you can get once your programming skill is high enough.
The plan is that you actually have to go to the office for this job where you will have a minigame to do in order to complete your working day, there will also be an option to gain expert skills once you are there.
(I hope that makes sense xD)

Publishing your game

First you must create a game in order to publish one, select the game that you want to publish and then select one of the publishing options below that. Obviously the more money you pay for marketing campaigns the more money you will make from your game. The money you make is largely based on the quality system I have implemented which is is influenced by the options you chose when creating that game.

So yeah I hope my description of the newest features made sense. Whenever I get free time next I’ll add some small things to the game like a little menu and some background music or something and then I’ll upload what I have just to let you guys have a look at it. Hopefully I can get some good feedback or new ideas and be able to make this into a decent game :D
Thanks for reading <3

Hey, Currently working on animating the main character, lets call him jek for now xD. My first attempt at game art!! May take a while!

Hey all, So i made some progress on the character art, (might have to re-do parts of it). Still not sure if doing my own game art is a good idea xD.

Hey, So I started the game last weekend and I got some features done already such as sleeping, learning basic skills and some UI etc. I'm using placeholder art atm that is probably better than my own. I'll be working on replacing it all next.

Hey all. I'm working on the 'creating/publishing game mechanics'. I've been busy this weekend so haven't made much progress, but I should get it done next week. Just a screenshot of the UI I'm working on above.

hey all, hope you're all g. I'm currently working on a way to unlock topics that you can use to create games. Is there any features that you guys would like too see in this type of game?

Chiaki Nanami!

Have a good Boi

Finished a project I've been working on over the last few days!
