So, it’s been a hot minute, due to some things happening pertaining to this game I thought it'd be right of me to nip this in the bud as fast as I can so that no problems arise when it comes to this game.

This game was released in October of 2018 for an Itch.io Game Jam. I was about 16 years old and was just getting into programming, not really understanding it and not exactly planning to make it a career path. Because of this and the fact I was working on a tight schedule, I didn’t put much thought into the game’s name and I stupidly named it “Little Nightmares”, I swore I heard the name somewhere at the time but brushed it off as my own memory being bad. it didn’t fully register that it had already been used (and copyrighted too). 

On December 26th, 2019 I declared the game as canceled primarily due to the fact that I was in High School and my schedule just simply didn’t allow it at the time and the project suffered severe scope creep. I didn’t understand my limits so I didn’t know what to do. By the time I realized the mistake, I had already deemed the project as canceled and figured since it was canceled (and verbally confirmed to be canceled) I wouldn’t have a problem.

Now, flash forward to today, I’m assuming (and probably betting) that many of the followers of this game are fans of the original Little Nightmares and their newly released game, Little Nightmares II. This isn’t it. This isn't a fan game either, this was intended to be an original project. Here are the correct links to their store page/games:

I’m 19 now and working on another project (one that’s admittedly better named) and one that I’m actually swearing on finishing. I just wanna clear this up so that future fans of Little Nightmares don’t come across this page and are accidentally mislead and older fans understand this is just a horrible mistake on my part when I was younger. The game is still canceled as of now but if enough people show interest I may consider moving it back up to shelved (as in to possibly work on it again in the future, giving it a different name of course)

Anyways, I’m sorry about the confusion, I’ll put something in the title as well to ward more people off. Feel free to suggest better title alternatives if you all want lol.
