What is Friday Night Absurd?

Friday Night Absurd was originally a mod made in a month by me and @CheezyBiscuits_ and someone else that I have had a falling off with. I had originally intended to make it into a full V1 mod that was suppose to be big, and that stuff.

Why are you cancelling it?

I am cancelling it for a number of reasons, all of which are really my fault and no one else’s. Now the main reason I’m cancelling it, is because it’s not really made much progress. It’s been two years of me and my team working on it with near nothing to show, this is fault of my lack of foresight, my stubbornness to achieve a too ambitious project, and me being all together inexperienced in FNF modding in general. Don’t get me wrong it was an amazing journey and fun, but a few months ago I burnt myself out, trying to get as much done as I could for the mod. It backfired horribly and came out with crappy designs, animations, and just all together worsened my art skills. During that time I began to think and wonder “Is this mod actually going anywhere? Even if we do complete it, how do we know it will kick off? What will the payback for two years of our lives working on this mod?” I began to realize that. With every time a new big fnf mod came out, my ambition and others for this mod grew. It all left me feeling rather empty about the mod, and somewhat bad, because more than ever it showed, I wasted time. I wasted my time, my friends’, everyone’s time on the team. My perfectionism and stubbornness, just ended up wasting hours of my team’s lives. It just did not sit well with me, so I decided to cancel the mod

What now?

Well the mod will have a few send off stuff mainly all the songs that were done for it, and some concepts. In another article I will discuss the lifetime of the mod all that happened with it, from its beginning to its end, and all together do stuff to bring this mod to a nice closing. The characters of course are still mine and the team’s and I wouldn’t want others to use them in other works. Covers would be fine but please do not use them in mods. It’s third year anniversary is coming up and we’ll be hosting a nice event with announcements and QnA. Team Absurd is still mostly together, and we plan on doing other things out side of the Friday Night Funkin Community, and our characters.
